Gary graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Urban Development (1972) and a juris doctor degree from the University's Law School in 1975. Gary is a shareholder in Karr Tuttle Campbell law firm and chairs the firm's Real Estate and Land Use Group. His practice is dedicated to land use and real estate law with an emphasis in project development, the governmental permit process, and the negotiation of appropriate mitigation for project impacts. He has considerable experience with local, state, and federal permitting and administrative agencies. Gary served as volunteer legal counsel for the University Christian Church in obtaining the rezone to build the Arbora Court affordable housing development on UCC property
